Carla Arena is a social entrepreneur, educator by choice. She left a promising career in the public service to become an English teacher and got the chance to take roles she could have never imagined, such as site content manager at the Binational Center she worked for, Casa Thomas Jefferson. There, she was also the Supervisor of Educational Technology, and more recently Coordinator of Innovation and Technologies. Carla is a Google Innovator and educational technology consultant. Carlos is a specialist in Bilingual Education and has been implementing bilingual education programs in schools all over Brazil for the past five years. Isabela Villas Boas holds a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Arizona State University and a Ph.D. in Education from Universidade de Brasília. She has been at Casa Thomas Jefferson for 32 years, where she is currently the Academic Superintendent. Her main academic interests are second language writing, teacher development, ELT methodology, and assessment. She also supervises MA dissertations for the University of Birmingham. She has recently published the book “Teaching EFL Writing - A Practical Approach for Skills-Integrated Contexts.

Founder of the theatrical company “The Company Educational Drama” dedicated to educational theatre in English and with more tan 10 years of experience in theatre applied to education. In addition, he manages The Anglo Theatre, belonging to the Anglo Uruguayan Cultural Institute.

Licenciada em Letras pela USP. Atua na formação inicial e continuada na educação desde 2008. Tem experiência em consultoria e gestão de programas inovadores em redes públicas e privadas, envolvendo inovação curricular, metodologias ativas, cultura maker, multiletramentos e integração das tecnologias digitais nas práticas pedagógicas. É membro da rede IEB (Rede de Inovação para a Educação Brasileira), gerenciada pelo CIEB (Centro de Inovação para a Educação Brasileira). Atuou no grupo de pesquisa em aprendizagem híbrida pelo Instituto Singularidades, sob a coordenação de Lilian Bacich e José Moran (2015). Foi responsável pela coordenação de campo do Programa Inovação nas Escolas da Fundação Lemann, entre 2013 e 2016, gerindo a implementação do Projeto Khan Academy, envolvendo 110 mil alunos e 3000 professores. Especialista em Educação da Microsoft, atuou no desenvolvimento de programas de formação de professores em instituições e redes de ensino que utilizam os recursos educacionais da Microsoft em sala de aula. Representou o Brasil nos eventos: 2019/2018 – E2 | Education Exchange (Singapura e Paris, respectivamente); 2015 - Summit Teachers Ambassadors (Amsterdam); 2013- Swiss International Teachers Program (EUA). 2003 -Étage Connaissance de la France (França). Hoje é Fundadora e Diretora da Redesenho Educacional, assessoria que apoia escolas, líderes e professores brasileiros a inovar, com foco em inovação curricular, por meio das tecnologias digitais, metodologias ativas e aprendizagem criativa. Também é professora de Pós-Graduação do Instituto Singularidades e autora de material didático para o Grupo Santillana. Pesquisadora da área de inovações em educação, como cultura digital, metodologias ativas, ensino híbrido, design e cultura maker.

Teresa holds a B.A. in Linguistics from USP and Delta Modules 1 and 2 Certificates. She has been teaching for over 25 years and has presented at webinars and at both local and international Conferences, including ABCI, IATEFL, and the Image Conference. She also holds a Specialization degree in English Language from PUC-Rio. She is interested in visual literacy and in language development for teachers of English as a foreign language. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Language Studies and is conducting research in the role of images in the construction of identity.
